Hey everyone! Continuing with the all the baby things! If you are having your first baby (or even if it’s not) I created this list to make your post pregnancy a little easier! I support and love everything on this list and I highly recommend all of them!
Without further ado, here are my favorite things!
- Pregnancy Pillow – I had a really hard time sleeping when I was pregnant. Lucky I’m a side sleeper but this would have helped SO much. With over 3,800 five star reviews I think others would agree that this pillow helps you sleep SO much better! It’s a life saver.
- Disposable Underwear – If your think wearing jeans is uncomfortable, your underwear will be too! They give you some underwear when you go to the hospital. But I wanted to wear them for weeks after I had my baby. You’ll want to put a lot of pads on with cooling gels and or ice packs. This are perfect for just that! Trust me, you’ll want them.
- Ice Maxi Pads – These pads helped the pain so much after the next couple of days out of the hospital. They also help catch a lot of the blood clumps that tend to come out the next couple of days (which the doctor said is totally normal unless they are bigger than a golf ball size.) I would defiantly recommend!
- Mom Washer – I LOVED having this after I gave birth. They give you a squirt water bottle at the hospital, but I liked this one better because it’s angled and it wouldn’t get all over my hands. Plus it’s easy to wash. After you go to the bathroom you aren’t going to wipe those stitches, so this really helps clean you up. Highly recommend!
- Herbal Spray – I LOVED this stuff after I had the baby! It’s a mixture of soothing herbs to help sooth the burning and pain after birth. I would keep it in the bathroom and spray it on after to help with the pain.
- Sitz Bath Salts – When your pushing, you can’t feel anything down there. So lot’s of times, women will get terrible hemorrhoids. I know gross to talk about, but if your anything like I was during my WHOLE PREGNANCY, you’ll wish that someone would have told you! Warm salt baths help your hemorrhoid pain a lot.
- Tucks Cooling Pads – These also help with front and back after giving birth. They help provide relief and the itching that hemorrhoids can cause.
- Preparation H wipes – These helped me a TON. You’ll want to use these soothing wipes the next couple weeks even if you don’t have hemorrhoids. You’ll thank me later!
- Probiotic – Also to help with those Hemorrhoids, probiotics! These have helped regulate me SO much and I LOVE Mary Ruth’s products. I really wish I would have taken it the whole pregnancy and especially after it along with the stool softener they give you.
- Collagen – If you are anything like me, after I had my baby, I lost a TON of hair… like literally when I would shower chunks would come out! (Don’t worry, my doctor said it’s VERY normally for hair loss after a baby.) But I have to say that this product helped me get my hair back WAY faster. And it helps with bone joints and nails too. I LOVE LOVE LOVE this stuff. I put it in my smoothie’s everyday.
- Bum Bum Cream – Ok there is a reason that you see this all over my blog. THIS STUFF IS AMAZING! It’s the only that has helped firm up my skin after I’ve had baby. Although some would argue it’s pricey, it is TOTALLY worth it! I love it an I will defiantly be putting it on the rest of my pregnancies, especially for post pregnancy.
- Nursing Pads – I didn’t know this was a thing until I got pregnant! You can get disposable nursing pads to keep your bra from getting unwanted milk on them, but I found these and it would save money and be more comfortable.
- (PS on a totally random note, from one breast feeding mama to another, the hospital will offer you a medicinal ointment for your cracked and very SORE nipples, GET IT! It saved my life so many times!!)
- Tanks – If you are planning to breast feed, I LOVED these! Super simple and easy to snap on and off. I would highly recommend bringing them to the hospital. They are super so and stretchy.
- Joggers – After giving a baby, you’re not going to want to wear a lot of jeans. Trust me, haha! Make sure that you have some sort of comfy pants to wear around the house or even a quick walk around the block. These ones are great! I LOVE this brand.
- House Dress – You REALLY want to have one of these. They are SUPER comfortable but still really cute after you have a baby. You’ll want to live in them for the next couple of weeks. I want to get lot’s of them with my next baby. They are even good when you are very pregnant. It’s defiantly something I would recommend. The one I linked is pricer than other you could find on amazon like this one, but the one I linked in the picture is the BEST quality.
- Slippers – You’ll want to have a new pair of slippers! I wore them all the time around the house. You’re feet get so sore and swollen that I wore them almost twenty four seven! Plus you’ll want to bring to the hospital to slip on an off!
I hope this helps all of you! And if you haven’t had your little one yet I hope all goes well for you. Also, I’d love to hear what you guys have found helpful for post pregnancies too!
Happy Shopping!
