Organized Spice Drawer

March 5, 2020

Hello everyone! I’ve been getting so many questions on spice labels and jars so I thought I’d share this post with you all. I’ll be answering some of my most frequently asked questions and hopefully inspiring you with your own spice drawers!

This is such simple project, but it does wonders for efficiency when your cooking/baking. (Plus it’s so pretty to look at! haha).

With out further ado, here are all of the things that you’ll need!

Spice Drawer Insert

  • Spice Drawer Inserts

My husband actually DIY these for me! He’s really handy so I roped him into making me some of these for our drawers haha. If you don’t have the tools or equipment to make them, my husband and I make these in my etsy shop!

After looking, we decided to use poplar wood, I loved the color and the smooth finish it had! We measured the width and depth of the inside of our drawers and cut them to size.

I wanted spacing between the wood, so I had jake make three rows. We also had a large and a small drawer that I wanted them in so we made two different sizes. They turned out just how I expected!

Spice Labels

  • Spice Labels
  • You might also like these slender ones! (There are even more different design labels too!)

I sell these on my Etsy shop and I LOVE them! They fit the standard 4 oz bottles perfectly. The spice labels are made of polyester water/oil resistant paper to protect from the occasional spills of the kitchen too! They are a great addition to making everything look sleek and uniformed! Plus I just think they are dang cute!

Spice Jars

  • Spice Jars (from amazon)- There are a couple of reasons why I like these jars if you have a lot of spices.
  1. They are square. It’s nice to have this shape because they fit well together being compact. Also because if they are square, they don’t have a chance to roll if you are missing one or don’t have enough to quite fit your drawer.
  2. They are standard 4 oz jars that almost exactly match the organic spice jars from Walmart. So if you happen to need/buy more later on, they will match the rest of them even if you buy them from the store. Which saves you money and still matches well!
  3. They come with this SUPER handy

And thats it! I hope you all find this post both helpful and inspiring. If you want to take a look at my other labels to help organize your home, feel free to check out my other posts like my laundry containers!

In my next post I will be sharing some really cute large pantry containers for your pantry needs! You wont want to miss it! It matches really well with these spice labels too!

Thanks for visiting!

Jamie
