Hey everyone! I don’t know about you, but I always used to wonder what other people use for supplements. So I thought I would share with you all what I like to use to get the most out of my workout and to keep me healthy.
Before I go on a lot of you have asked what workouts I do. I don’t know if ya’ll have heard of Kayla Itsines, but I have never had a workout that’s only 30 minutes do so much for me. I started her workouts about 4 or 5 months after having Navy and I cannot say good enough things about it! I love that it’s only 30 minutes and three days out of the week. I also like to workout from home with minimal equipment, so it’s really just a good fit for me. I like how she builds you up slowly, starting out with doable things, but over time gets you to the point where you can isolate muscle groups and focus on them! It took a couple of months, and I still have a long way to go, but I’m finally feeling healthier!
Supplements
Taking care of your body before and after your workout is just as important. So here are my favorite things to use:
Pre Workout
To be honest, I hadn’t even heard of Pre-Workout until a family member told me about them a year ago. I have always struggled getting through workouts, especially cardio! So after I learned about it, I decided to give it a try. I hesitated at first because I really don’t taking these types of things, but I have loved this pre workout! If you read the label, it’s planted based mostly. I love it and I’m glad I trusted the good reviews! I don’t use it all the time, but when I’m lacking energy or motivation I drink it before.
Protein Drink
This is the Protein Drink I usually take after I finish a workout. You need the protein to help your muscles regrow, and they say eating it 30 minutes after you exercise is best. You really can use any drink you want but I like the convince of these, I don’t really love eating RIGHT after my workouts so I opt for drinks. There are different flavor options in these, but the caramel is SO GOOD! It’s seriously my favorite!
Whey Protein
When I don’t have any protein drinks, or I need some greens quick, smoothies are always my go to. I like to use this Whey Protein powder in my shakes when I have time in the morning. I usually get vanilla and mix with fruit, but if you like peanut butter and bananas, chocolate is a good choice too!
VitaFusion Women’s Multivitamin
I found these randomly at Walmart on a grocery shopping trip. I started using them for about a month or so and I really like them. This one in particular helps for Energy, Metabolism, bone, and immune support. They are tasty and better absorbed by the body because they are a gummy.
Vital Proteins Collagen Peptides
I LOVE this stuff! I never had heard of Collagen until recently. A friend of mine introduced me to this and said that this Collagen helped her skin a lot. It’s supposed to help skin hydration, hair, healthy joints, and hair and nail support. When I saw that on the label I knew that this was EXACTLY what I needed to try. I literally had problems with all of those things. I’ve been taking it for a few weeks now and I’m in love with it. It’s improve my skin so much already. Cannot say good enough things about this!
Digestive Advantage
Ok so the main reason I started taking these was because of problems after having a baby (if you know what I mean! wink wink). Plus, I just recently learned of how important good bacteria is to help fight off sickness and really help your whole body function normally. So I’ve been using these and they’ve actually helped me feel a lot better! However, don’t just take it once and hope to see immediate results. I’ve discovered it’s best over long term use, it really starts helping after a couple of weeks.
I hope these help! I’m defiantly NOT an expert at working out and I don’t pretend to be, but I do enjoy letting others know what works for me! There are a lot of good products out there, these are just my favorites that I’ve found!
Thanks for reading,
xo, Jamie
