Hey everyone! Fall is just around the corner and I can not be more excited, this is my favorite time of year. We moved earlier this year and haven’t seen my fall decorations since. I even went down into the creepy spider filled basement and went through every single tub only to realize that all my fall decorations were missing! (Don’t ask me how! No clue haha). So this year I got a few things that I thought I’d share to give you a little insporation.
Black Lantern
I have never had a lantern before, but I’ve always wanted one! I found this one at target and it’s perfect. It opens easily from the front so you can put candles, greenery, and other decor in with it. The glass will help shield from the weather. The top is open which is good for real candles! But not so good for rain, so it’s probably best to get this one if your porch is covered, or just make sure to bring it in when it’s rainy! The one in the photo is the largest 30′.
Plaid Rug
This rug is one of the best rated home items on Amazon! It gets five stars for a reason. It’s really sturdy and if it gets dirty you can wash it to make it new again. They come in lot’s of different sizes, but the one pictured here is the 23.5”x35.4”. It’s the perfect size for a normal size doorway, if you have a larger porch and doors I’d go with the 35.5”x58.6”.
‘Hey there pumpkin’ Doormat
I may be a little bias since these are in my etsy shop, but I LOVE THESE! I paired this on my porch with the plaid mat above and it ties them both together so well! They are super simple way to make your entry way a bit more festive. I always love decorations that serve a purpose as well as add a homey feel to your house! They are easy to clean as well, just give em’ a good shake. Since I couldn’t find my decorations I started making these, I got so many compliments I thought I would open an Etsy shop and sell em’!
Real Pumpkins
I ALWAYS opt for real pumpkins in fall. A few reasons being I like how they are a little imperfect and different giving them a unique look, and it’s always a fun trip to the pumpkin patch! Secondly, I love not having to store them. And third, I like after the season is over I like to bake the pumpkin seeds and eat them! And lastly, obviously you can carve, paint, or put vinyl letters on them to make them stand out extra cute.
But if you don’t like buying the pumkins every year their are some cute ones at the target dollar section, and I saw a TON of them at homegoods and TJ Max!
Mcclary Tiered Stand
Ok, I think these things are just adorable! Tiered stands are becoming more and more popular. I like them because they don’t take up much space and you can have lot’s of different cute trinkets that don’t cost much. Or you can even do You can set it out on the tableThis one from Wayfair comes in white (my personal favorite), brown, or gray.
Block Candle Holder
These I got at Ikea and I LOVE them! They would go perfectly on a porch, in the middle of your dinning table, or on your coffee tables! They come in two different sizes and you can fit a normal candle in the middle (I personally think they would look cute with orange color candles, but I haven’t looked for them yet!). They have been one of my favorites that I’ve bought this fall.
I will be doing another post later on how to decorate a small table for the holidays so stay tuned!
Happy shopping!
