Today I’m reviewing what you all have probably heard of before.. yes I’m talking about the Fabfitfun box! You may have seen celebrities promoting it or other youtube reviews. Now just in case you don’t know what the fabfitfun box is, it’s a box subscription box that comes once every season. It includes item finds from beauty, wellness and style. The value of subscribing is that you get $200 dollars worth of products for only $50 (plus I got my first box for only $30). You get to choose some of the products that you want, so it’s not totally blind of what you are going to receive in your box. The ones listed here are the ones that I chose from the selections. It sounds perfect for someone like me who is always hungry to try new products! But I wanted to find out if it was actually something worth subscribing for.
I ordered my Winter 2018 box and I was excited to get it until I heard from others that it wasn’t as good as the other boxes. I was a little bummed but still curious. I received my box probably a week later. It came in a fun box with a $60 gift card to hello fresh along with these items inside:
- Anthropologie’s coconut sugar sea whip body cream: Retail $24- This sea whip body cream is supposed to be really hydrating for your skin, and it is! I loved the way it made my hands feel so soft (I get really dry knuckles in the winter!). However, I wasn’t a huge fan of the smell and it’s a fairly strong sent. It doesn’t smell like coconut! At least to me. Bottom line: Did I like it? Yes. Would I buy it again? Probably not, I have other lotions I like just as much.
- Ahaha hydration cream mask: Retail $33: I was pleasantly surprised by this cream! I am usually very picky about what I put on my skin, but this didn’t make me break out. I put it on at night as a moisturizer and rinse it off in the morning and my skin was moisturized and plump! Bottom line: Did I like it? Yes! Would I buy it again? I might, but I don’t think it’s enough to replace my other hydration mask that’s cheaper!
- Brilliant eye brightener: Retail $24: This is a highlighter for your face. Let me tell you guys, this is just a flat out horrible product. I tried to put it on and it did nothing for me. I couldn’t tell it was there it just wasn’t for me. Bottom line: Did I like it? Hard no. Would I buy it again? NO! I wouldn’t pay for this product.
- Bite beauty lipstick $22: This lipstick was a matte nude and I really liked the color! and the lipstick went on super soft and silky. My only problem was that it didn’t last to long. But it didn’t dry my lips out so that was a plus! Bottom line: Did I like it? Yes. Would I buy it? Probably not, I have other lipsticks that last longer.
- Blaq eye mask hyaluronic acid: Retail $29: These are gel masks for under the eye, and I was a tad skeptical but let me tell you guys, I loved them! They were super soft on the skin, they stuck right on, and I could feel my skin soaking it up! I could tell my skin under my eye was hydrated and brightened. Bottom line: Did I like it? Yes. Would I buy it? Yes! I will defiantly buy more of these.
- Mark and Graham Blanket: Retail $28: I was so excited to get this blanket. It looked so soft and cozy! But when I received it, I was so disappointed, and I was sad that I was! I love a good blanket but it just feels cheap. I supposed it might be an ok throw blanket purely for decor. But I like my blankets to do both. Bottom line: Do I like it? No. Would I buy it? No.
- Gold lust dry shampoo: Retail $44: This is a dry shampoo by Oribe. I was excited to get this one because I currently use the hair spray and I really like it! I works well and I love the way it works for my hair! It can get a little greasy, but I haven’t found a dry shampoo that doesn’t because my hair is so fine. Bottom line: Do I like it? Yes! Would I buy it again? Yes.
- Moroccan Gold Series Hair mask: Retail $59: I LOVED this hair mask! It hydrated my ends so well and it smelled really good to. I just followed the directions and rinsed it off, I think it only said like 10 minutes or something but in my opinion the longer you leave a hair mask on the better! Bottom line: Do I like it? Yes! Would I buy it? Probably not, it’s a little too expensive for me for a hair mask!
- Jade Roller: Retail 45: I know this might seem silly to many but really all you do with this is, run it under ice cold water (or keep it in the fridge), and roll it over your skin! I actually really like to use this roller after I do my microderm treatments, it helps with the redness afterwards and feels really good on your skin! Plus it is super cute haha. Bottom line: Do I like it? Yes! Would I buy it? Yes!
Total: Box Retail $308
Over all I would say yes, it’s worth the money! It’s a fun thing to get each season and help you discover things you wouldn’t have tried other wise. I hope this helps if you are contemplating subscribing or not! And again, I’m not promoting! Just wanted to share my thoughts!
