Oh my goodness, I can’t believe I’m even writing this post! My little baby is one!! She is seriously the kindest sweetest little girl! She loves to watch movies, stay up late, and play with her puppy. Her favorite food is pancakes so when I saw this cute Pancakes and Pajamas party idea, I knew that she would love it!
This was the cute invitation we sent out for her party! We of course asked everyone to come in there favorite PJs! You can find the invitation HERE.
About a week before the party, I had my sister (who takes amazing pictures, especially with families and kids!), come over and take some pictures of Navy smashing a cake I had bought from Walmart. I also bought a confetti popper that we popped while she was smashing the cake! I was honestly so glad I did this before the party so we could get some cute pictures to display! You can find her photography FB page HERE.
We had the party at my parents house and I’m so glad we did! My mom is the queen of parties and has all the best party plates and decorations (I even stole a picture from her website, she has more details about the food HERE!). We had lot’s of pink, gold, and confetti colors! The table was decorated with white dishes and trays to set our food out on. We also set up white crates to put Navy’s cake smash pictures on. Above the table, I strung pictures of Navy starting from when she was one month until she was one year! I also put a skirt around the high chair that I found on amazon, it gave a really cute touch for when we all sang happy birthday to her!
The food we had mostly breakfast things like yogurt, fruit, pancakes (of course), crispy creme donuts, and even chick-fil-A chicken waffles! For the cake, me and mom made a Giant cupcake along with regular cupcakes the kids could have! As for the drinks we had Gossner’s Milk cartons in chocolate, cookies n’ cream and root beer. I also made “Unicorn” Popcorn with pink and blue chocolate with sprinkles for the kids to take home. My mom also helped me make the “Pancake Tower” cake. Basically a lot of thin layers of cake! Haha.
It was such a fun party! Navy loved it all but she did get a little tired about half way through her party because there was so much to do! haha. She had about had it when it was time to open her presents, so me and Jake, and the other kids helped us open her them for her while she ran around! It all turned out so cute and we were so happy to celebrate it with her and to see all the people that love her come celebrate with us!! Can’t wait for more of them!
If you want more details about the party let me know! I would be more than happy to answer them! Happy party planning!
XO, Jamie
